Serbia announces 400 million dinars for forest improvement

The Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has announced a tender to allocate 400 million dinars for the preservation and improvement of forests. The funds are intended for afforestation, forest protection, maintenance, the restoration of forest roads, and the production of planting material.

Eligible recipients include forest owners, legal entities, entrepreneurs, forest owner associations, and scientific research institutions. A portion of the funds for afforestation in state-owned forests will be managed through the FOREST Invest project, which aims to increase forest resilience, support energy security for vulnerable households, and contribute to reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations.
