Serbia announces 6,000 dinar one-time payment for citizens

The Serbian government is implementing a broad economic support package aimed at improving living standards. A key component involves a one-time payment of 6,000 dinars for adult citizens who are not already recipients of rights from the Shareholders' Fund. The deadline for applications via the Treasury Administration portal is Monday, September 21.

Payments for the 6,000 dinar assistance are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 23, following initial disbursements on Tuesday for pensioners, social assistance recipients, and Shareholders' Fund holders. For those who applied via the portal, funds will be deposited into a dedicated account at Poštanska štedionica; citizens without an account at this bank may need to collect the funds in person at a post office with a valid ID.

This initiative is part of a larger nearly one-billion-euro support package. Previous disbursements in this program included varying amounts for pensioners based on income levels, as well as support for social assistance recipients, combatants, and parents of children receiving child benefits. The government also announced a permanent pension increase scheduled for December 1.
