Serbia to increase public sector salaries in December 2026

Public sector employees in Serbia, specifically those in social protection, are set to receive a 12 percent salary increase starting December 1, 2026. This group includes educators, pedagogues, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and nutritionists.

Projections indicate that the new average salary for these professionals will reach approximately 125,687 dinars, or about 1,070 euros. This represents a significant increase compared to 2012, when salaries for these roles averaged around 49,422 dinars.

Other public sector employees are scheduled to receive an 8 percent salary increase on the same date. While the increase is substantial, final amounts will vary based on specific job roles, base pay, professional qualifications, and seniority.
