Serbia awards cash prizes to medal-winning athletes

The Government of Serbia has approved monetary rewards for athletes who secured medals at various European and World championships. These awards, distributed according to national regulations for Olympic and Paralympic disciplines, include payments for both the athletes and their head coaches.

In boxing, gold medalists Sara Ćirković and Kristina Kuluhova, silver medalist Rastko Simić, and bronze medalist Milena Matović received 20,000, 15,000, and 10,000 euros respectively. Javelin thrower Adriana Vilagoš received 10,000 euros for her bronze medal at the European Championships in Birmingham.

In Paralympic sports, Dragan Ristić and Kristina Trifunović were awarded 30,000 euros each for gold medals in shooting at the World Championships in Changwon, South Korea. Lazar Filipović received 25,000 euros for a silver medal in triathlon at the World Championships in Pontevedra, Spain.
