Serbia deepens partnership with Azerbaijan as Jovanović meets ambassador

State Secretary Nevena Jovanović of Serbia received Azerbaijan’s ambassador Kamal Hasiyev for a farewell visit. Jovanović thanked Hasiyev for his personal involvement and significant contribution to strengthening overall Serbia‑Azerbaijan relations, emphasizing the countries’ solid strategic partnership, traditional friendship and mutual trust.

Both sides noted a high level of political dialogue, intensive exchanges of high‑level visits and ongoing cooperation across many areas of common interest. They reviewed the achievements of Hasiyev’s diplomatic mandate, which further reinforced the partnership and laid a firm foundation for deeper collaboration. Serbia expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s consistent support for its sovereignty and territorial integrity and reaffirmed its commitment to expanding comprehensive cooperation. Jovanović wished Hasiyev success in his future professional and diplomatic endeavors.
