Serbia emphasizes balanced foreign policy and EU goals

Serbian officials are emphasizing the country's pursuit of a balanced foreign policy and regional stability. Foreign Minister Marko Đurić met with associates of U.S. members of Congress and senators, stating that Serbia aims to build strong relations with key global powers while maintaining its primary goals of regional cooperation and accession to the European Union.

Đurić highlighted the importance of the Strategic Dialogue between Serbia and the United States, noting that the U.S. is a significant partner in information and communication technology. He also noted that the Serbian diaspora in the U.S. serves as a bridge for bilateral cooperation.

Commentators have noted that under President Aleksandar Vučić, Serbia has maintained a policy of military neutrality and independence. This approach seeks to preserve relations with both the West and the East, including maintaining ties with Washington and Brussels while developing strategic partnerships with Moscow and Beijing.
