Serbia extends fuel excise duty reductions until September 20
The Serbian government in a technical mandate has extended the temporary reduction of excise duties on oil derivatives. The new measures are set to be effective from September 14 through September 20.
Under this decision, the excise duty for unleaded gasoline will be 54.00 dinars per liter, leaded gasoline will be 57.41 dinars per liter, and diesel will be 55.53 dinars per liter. This represents an increase in the reduction level from 20% to 25% compared to statutory base amounts.
The government stated that the decision was made to mitigate the impact of rising producer prices for oil derivatives, which have been driven by increasing crude oil prices on the global market. The measure aims to stabilize retail fuel prices and prevent significant increases at the pump.
