Serbia faces EU incentives and foreign‑policy challenges as elections loom

The European Union is preparing a package to reward Serbia for overturning controversial judicial laws that the Venice Commission warned could undermine democracy. Analysts say the shift turns Serbia’s strategic ambiguity into a vulnerability, complicating its diplomatic space ahead of the vote.
