Čačak hosts regional voluntary blood donation drive

A large-scale voluntary blood donation drive was held at the Cultural Center in Čačak, organized by the FRA Voluntary Blood Donors Association, the Red Cross, and blood transfusion services. This event marks the 36th year of the initiative held during the Guča Trumpet Festival and celebrates the 60th anniversary of the founding of the FRA Association.

Participants traveled from various cities across Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Trebinje, Budva, Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Podgorica, Belgrade, and Novi Sad, to contribute. Local officials, including Assistant Mayor Miloš Teofilović, also participated in the donation.

Natasha Cvijović, secretary of the Red Cross Čačak, emphasized the critical importance of blood donation for emergency situations, noting that the solidarity shown by donors helps ensure medical support is available even if citizens find themselves in different regions or neighboring countries.
