Serbia hosts My Digital Farm fair to promote agricultural e-commerce

The ‘My Digital Farm’ fair was held at the Galerija shopping center in Belgrade, showcasing agricultural producers from various regions of Serbia. The event highlighted new digital tools designed to make farm products more accessible to consumers through customized websites and digital platforms.

The initiative is part of the Competitive Agriculture of Serbia project, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in collaboration with the World Bank. The goal is to support the digitalization of farms to increase market competitiveness and enable direct connections between producers and buyers.

Milan Stevanović, coordinator of the project, stated that the essence of agricultural e-commerce is to ‘shorten the path from field to table.’ By removing intermediaries, producers can retain more value while consumers receive fresher, locally produced goods at fair prices.
