Serbia heating costs vary significantly by energy source

Heating costs in Serbia for the upcoming season vary significantly depending on the chosen energy source and living space. Estimates suggest a price difference of up to 100,000 dinars between the most expensive and most affordable methods.

Inverter air conditioning has emerged as the most cost-effective option due to its efficiency. For a 50-square-meter apartment, seasonal costs are approximately 35,000 dinars, rising to 75,000 dinars for a 100-square-meter space.

Other options include wood and thermal storage (TA) stoves, which are more expensive than inverter technology but remain relatively affordable. For a 100-square-meter space, wood heating costs around 130,000 dinars. Central heating and pellet heating costs are comparable, with pellets currently priced between 32,000 and 35,000 dinars per ton.
