Serbia defeats Estonia 3-1 to open European Volleyball Championship

The Serbian men's national volleyball team opened their European Championship campaign in Tampere, Finland, with a 3-1 victory over Estonia. The match, held at the Nokia Arena, was a highly competitive affair lasting approximately two and a half hours.

Serbia won the sets with scores of 25-23, 26-24, 26-28, and 25-22. Despite Estonia's strong resistance, including a comeback in the third set, Serbia managed to secure the win through key performances. Dražen Luburić led the scoring for Serbia with 20 points, followed by Lazar Marinović with 16 points and Pavle Perić with 15 points. Estonia's Mart Tamerau contributed 18 points in the effort.

Serbia, coached by George Krecu, is competing in Group C alongside Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark. Their next scheduled match is against the host nation, Finland.
