Serbia Ministry issues high-voltage warning for new Belgrade railway line

The Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has issued a high-voltage warning regarding sections of the railway line connecting Zemun Polje, Nikola Tesla Airport, and the National Stadium. The contact network above the tracks has been energized with 25,000 volts as part of the ongoing railway construction project.

Authorities warned that the high voltage is extremely dangerous and that unauthorized movement near the tracks is strictly prohibited. The ministry noted that an electric shock can occur even without direct contact with the wires, as the electrical circuit can extend several meters from the power lines.

The energized sections include the fourth track from Zemun Polje station to station 12+830 D, and the first track to station 12+835 L. Additionally, a double bypass line from portals 45-46 in Zemun Polje to the sectioning facility along the left track is also under high voltage.
