Serbia Pension Fund revises 2026 financial plan for new aid
The Board of Directors of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO) has amended its 2026 financial plan to secure funds for new financial support for all pension recipients and social assistance beneficiaries. The revised budget for the Fund is set at 1,429.45 billion dinars, a 4.7 percent increase from the original plan.
According to Bojana Popović, Director of the Financial Affairs Sector, the one-time assistance will be paid to individuals with old-age, early old-age, disability, and survivor pensions, as well as certain categories of disabled persons and children with disabilities residing in Serbia. Eligibility for the August 2026 payment will depend on the pension amount.
In the first half of 2026, the Fund reported total revenues of nearly 667 billion dinars. Contribution revenues reached 520.78 billion dinars, representing a 13.62 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year. Additionally, pensions and cash benefits were adjusted by 12.2 percent starting in December 2025.
