Serbia reports four motorcycle fatalities in three hours

Four motorcyclists died in separate traffic accidents across Serbia within a three-hour window.

In Ljiga, a direct collision between two motorcycles resulted in the immediate deaths of two riders, aged 31 and 46. A 33-year-old passenger sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash. Approximately 20 minutes later in Temerin, a 17-year-old driver died after losing control of a motorcycle and striking a concrete pillar; authorities noted the minor was operating the vehicle without a license, a helmet, or other protective equipment. Later that evening in Sremska Mitrovica, a 30-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a car.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued an appeal for all road users, particularly two-wheel vehicle operators, to strictly follow traffic regulations and use protective gear. Since the beginning of the year, 48 motorcyclists and three passengers, along with seven moped riders and two passengers, have died in traffic accidents in Serbia, an increase from the 39 motorcyclists and one moped rider killed during the same period last year.
