Serbia reports high ambrosia pollen concentrations

High concentrations of ambrosia pollen are being recorded across 27 monitoring sites in Serbia, posing a risk of allergic symptoms for sensitive individuals. According to the Serbian Environmental Protection Agency, the most intense release of pollen is occurring now, with unfavorable conditions expected to persist until late September or early October.

While high temperatures and prolonged drought have resulted in lower overall pollen volumes compared to last year, the plant remains highly resilient. Experts note that ambrosia can continue to bloom until the end of October. While conditions are slightly more favorable in southern Serbia, concentrations remain high in most other parts of the country. Citizens are advised to monitor official environmental data to track pollen trends and expected changes in concentration levels.
