Serbia searches near Novi Pazar for Kosovo War missing persons
Search operations have resumed at the Golo Brdo landfill in Kožlje, near Novi Pazar, Serbia, to locate the remains of individuals missing from the Kosovo War. The investigation is being conducted by Serbian authorities with EULEX experts, representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross, and observers from the Pristina-based Working Group on Missing Persons.
Kosovo authorities have long requested field verification of this area and are seeking access to a list of 16 locations believed to potentially contain mass graves. While Serbian officials state the process is being carried out through the Commission on Missing Persons and judicial bodies, no human remains have been confirmed at the site as of the latest reports.
