Serbia sends 13 athletes to European Athletics Championships in Birmingham
Serbia will be represented by a squad of 13 athletes – four men and nine women – at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom, scheduled for 10 to 16 August. The team was selected by acting selector Željko Obradović, who said that winning two or three medals would be considered a major success.
The men will compete in the 200 m (Darijo Bašić Palković), 400 m hurdles (Mihajlo Katanić), long jump (Luka Bošković) and shot put (Armin Sinančević). The women’s roster includes Ivana Španović and Aleksandrija Mitrović in triple jump, Milica Gardašević in long jump, Angelina Topić in high jump, Adriana Vilagoš and Marija Vučenović in javelin, Aleksandra Pešić in 400 m, Milica Emini in 100 m hurdles, and Mina Stanković in race walking (21.097 km).
