Serbia to host UEFA Fight the Fix program
The Football Association of Serbia (FSS) will host the first session of UEFA’s “Fight the Fix” program from November 2 to 6. The educational initiative is dedicated to combating match-fixing and protecting the integrity of football competitions.
Taking place in Belgrade and the FSS Sports Center in Stara Pazova, the event will gather integrity officers from national associations, representatives from football confederations, state institutions, law enforcement agencies, and international experts. Participants will engage in lectures, discussions, and practical workshops designed to help identify early indicators of result manipulation, detect suspicious activities, and analyze risks associated with sports betting. A specific component of the program includes a match-fixing simulation to walk participants through the entire process, from initial suspicion and evidence collection to legal procedures.
The current cycle consists of three sessions. Following the session in Serbia, the program will continue in the Netherlands from January 25 to 29, 2027, focusing on investigative procedures and cooperation with authorities. The final session will be held in Switzerland from April 26 to 30, 2027, with an emphasis on evidence and the prosecution of match-fixing cases.
