Serbia to manufacture components for French Rafale fighter jets

Under an industrial cooperation agreement with France, the Utva factory in Pančevo, Serbia, will produce a section of the cannon system for the Rafale multirole combat aircraft. These components will be integrated into Rafale jets manufactured for the French Air Force as well as for international customers worldwide.

In addition to the manufacturing deal, Serbia has contracted the procurement of 12 Rafale aircraft, including three two-seat models, with deliveries expected to begin in 2028. The agreement also provides Serbian industry with access to advanced engineering design software. This partnership is intended to enhance the Serbian military's deterrence capabilities and provide technological advancements to the domestic aerospace and defense sectors.
