Serbia: Vučić announces increased subsidies for southern regions

During a speech at a United Serbia assembly in Niš, President Aleksandar Vučić announced an economic development plan focused on the south and east of Serbia. He stated that subsidies for the food and processing industries in these regions will be double those provided to other parts of the country.

Vučić also pledged increased state investment in agriculture, infrastructure, logistics centers, cold storage facilities, roads, and water supply networks. Addressing local economic trends, he noted that the average salary in Niš has risen from 309 euros to 1,007 euros over the last 12 years, though he expressed a desire for further growth.
