Bosnia and Herzegovina transitions to winter time and experiences early snow

Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially transitioned to winter time, with clocks set back one hour during the night of October 24-25. This seasonal change, which follows the standard Central European Time pattern, will remain in effect until March 28, 2027. The shift has prompted adjustments to electricity tariffs for customers of Elektroprivreda BiH and Elektroprivreda HZ HB, altering the schedules for lower-cost energy periods.

Simultaneously, early winter conditions have arrived in several mountainous regions of the country. Snowfall has been recorded on mountains such as Bjelašnica, Busovačka planina, Blidinje, and Čvrsnica. In the Blidinje Nature Park, temperatures dropped to 1 degree Celsius, resulting in a thin layer of snow. Authorities have issued warnings for travelers to monitor weather conditions and road safety, as new precipitation may cause difficult driving conditions on high mountain passes and exposed roads.
