Serbia wins six medals at Nordic walking world championships

Serbian athletes achieved significant success at the world Nordic walking championships held in Lahti, Finland. Six competitors from Sombor secured a total of six medals: two gold, three silver, and one bronze.

Slavica von Hartleb won gold in the 20-kilometer category with one of the best world times, while Mirko Erdelji took first place in the 10-kilometer race. Tamara Jakšić earned a silver medal in the 20-kilometer event and received special recognition for best technique. Milica Lugumerski secured silver in the 10-kilometer race, and Bogdan Nikolić won bronze in the 20-kilometer discipline. These results placed Serbia in eighth place in the overall medal standings.
