Serbia withdraws from Mediterranean Games 3x3 basketball

The Serbian 3x3 basketball team has withdrawn from the Mediterranean Games in Taranto. The decision occurred on the day the team was scheduled to play a match against the Kosovo national team.

Both teams were originally drawn into Group C alongside Turkey and Portugal. While the Basketball Federation of Serbia has not yet issued an official statement regarding the reasons for the withdrawal, the Basketball Federation of Kosovo confirmed that the Serbian selection opted out of the tournament.

This incident follows previous direct matchups between Serbian and Kosovar athletes at this year's games in sports such as taekwondo, boxing, and judo.
