Serbia women's volleyball team falls 3-1 to USA in Nations League match

Serbia's women's volleyball squad was defeated by the United States 3 – 1 in the fourth match of the Nations League B‑group tournament held in Pasig City, Philippines. The sets ended 25‑22, 18‑25, 25‑16 and 25‑16 in favour of the Americans. Nina Čajić led Serbia with 18 points, while teammates Anja Zubić and Hena Kurtagić added 12 and 11 points respectively. The U.S. side featured Evelyn Skinner (18) and Logan Eglington (17).

Following the loss, Čajić said the team showed it can compete with any opponent and expressed optimism ahead of the upcoming home leg in Belgrade, where Serbia will face Bulgaria, France, Germany and the Netherlands. The defeat leaves Serbia in tenth place on the league table with 10 points, holding a 2‑6 record ahead of the final week of the competition.

The match lasted 96 minutes, and the Serbian team will look to improve its performance in the remaining fixtures scheduled for 8–12 July in Belgrade.
