Serbian Air Force conducts intensive training with ‘Orao’ aircraft

The Serbian Ministry of Defense has announced that members of the fighter-bomber aviation squadron from the 98th Air Brigade are conducting intensive flight training. Based at the Morava military airfield near Kraljevo, the personnel are utilizing ‘Orao’ attack aircraft.

The primary objective of this training is to maintain and enhance the capabilities of both flight and technical personnel. This includes preparing for specialized tasks, specifically providing aerial fire support to maneuver forces during Serbian Army operations. Pilots are practicing various flight elements and tactical maneuvers, with an emphasis on operating under diverse meteorological conditions during both day and night.

In addition to pilot training, technical staff are undergoing parallel instruction. Technicians are responsible for preparing aircraft for flight and conducting post-flight inspections, which include checking aero-engines, electrical systems, instruments, and weaponry to ensure safe and efficient operation.
