Serbian analyst Aleksandar Radić vows to return to a free Serbia after exile

Military analyst Aleksandar Radić was summoned for questioning over the alleged “sound‑cannon” affair that he helped publicise. State‑aligned media released footage of his surveillance, showing him with his minor daughter, prompting him to leave Serbia.

Radić claims the Military Security Agency (VBA) has infiltrated the civilian sector and engineered the scandal to shift public focus ahead of elections. He alleges the authorities aim to portray dissenters as terrorists and to silence critics of the ruling party.

Serbia’s higher prosecution is investigating whether the sound‑cannon incident was staged, and opposition politician Zdravko Ponoš has also been interrogated. The government denies any use of the weapon, citing a Russian FSB report. Radić says he will return once Serbia is free.
