Serbian and Croatian towns secure millions for road and recycling projects
In Bački Petrovac, Serbia, the 540‑metre stretch of Dr Imrea Kiša street is being rehabilitated with a total investment of about 35 million dinars, of which 29 million dinars is funded by the provincial agriculture secretariat and the remainder by the municipal budget. The contract with the contractor “Eko gradnja” was signed on 5 June, with a 60‑day completion deadline and a 24‑month guarantee. The works include two layers of crushed stone, two asphalt layers, curbs and upgraded access to households.
In Croatia, the municipality of Radoboj received a non‑reimbursable grant of €40,600 from the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property to asphalt five unpaved road sections totaling 4,052 metres, part of a €481,393 project aimed at improving safety and connectivity. Separately, the city of Imotski was allocated €12,300 for the technical documentation of a new recycling yard, supporting a €26,000 project to develop waste‑separation infrastructure.
