Serbian Armed Forces launch Pobednik 2026 military exercise

The Serbian Armed Forces have commenced the ‘Pobednik 2026’ military exercise on the Pešter Plateau. This large-scale tactical exercise involves multiple branches, including the Land Forces, Air Force and Air Defense, special units, and military police.

The first phase of the exercise is scheduled to run until September 15, with a central live-fire activity planned for September 13. The training focuses on offensive operations by an enhanced tactical group, utilizing modernized weaponry and new combat and robotic systems. Following the activities on the Pešter Plateau, the exercise will continue through late September and early October, with a second phase planned for the broader Loznica area to improve command and unit readiness.
