Serbian Army announces military shelling near Sjenica

The Serbian Army has announced military exercises involving infantry and artillery shelling in the Sjenica municipality from September 3 to September 13, 2026. The activities will take place daily between 7:00 and 18:00 in the areas of Suvo Polje, Papuča, Begovi Bunari, and Tisovac.

Residents are instructed to evacuate themselves and their livestock from the designated danger zones before the exercises begin. No compensation will be provided for people or livestock caught within the danger zone during the shelling. The boundaries of the hazardous area will be marked with large red flags, and guards will be stationed at access roads to enforce compliance.

Additionally, the road connecting Sjenica, Raždaginja, Buđevo, and Karajukića Bunari will be closed daily during the military operations. Authorities have issued a strict warning against touching or collecting unexploded projectiles or debris. Any material damage caused by the shelling must be reported to the Command of the Second Brigade of the Land Forces within three days of the exercises' conclusion.
