Serbian Army opens recruitment for tank units

The Serbian Army has launched a public competition to recruit professional soldiers for its tank units. The recruitment drive is open until October 31 and seeks candidates to fill positions within the First, Second, Third, and Fourth Land Force Brigades, as well as the T-72M Tank Battalion.

Eligible applicants must be Serbian citizens up to 35 years of age who are physically and mentally fit for service. The competition includes roles such as tank drivers and gunners. While initial recruitment is for a fixed term, high-performing individuals may have opportunities to advance to non-commissioned officer ranks and secure permanent employment.

Benefits for those joining tank units include career advancement opportunities, professional training, and social and health protections for members and their families. Notably, as of May 2024, personnel serving in tank units receive a 20 percent salary supplement for their work contribution.
