Serbian Army Trains June Conscripts at Požarevac Specialist Center

Soldiers who began their compulsory service in June are currently undergoing specialist training for roles in infantry, artillery, armored units and engineering within the Serbian Army. The training, conducted at the Center for Land Forces Training in Požarevac, follows a six‑week basic course and takes place at the Požarevac training grounds and in the General Pavle Jurišić Šturm barracks, where trainees work on infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, artillery systems, mines and fire‑support equipment.

After completing the specialist phase, which ends with an individual competency assessment by the end of August, the conscripts will move to a stationary camp for practical exercises and live‑fire drills. Successful soldiers will then join collective training and be assigned to active units for the remainder of their service. The center also provides training for cadets, reservists and advanced courses covering more than 50 military specialties.
