Serbian authors Velikić and Majić present new novels

Serbian author Dragan Velikić presented his novel ‘Bečki roman’ (Vienna Novel) during the Tivat Literary Summer at the Museum and Gallery Tivat in Montenegro. Velikić discussed the deeply personal nature of his writing, noting that the book explores the relationship between a father and a son. The narrative is inspired by factual events involving his son, who was falsely accused and detained for seventy days. Velikić described the writing process as a way to confront personal and painful experiences, transforming fact and fiction into a literary work.

In Serbia, author Miodrag Majić released his new novel ‘Priznanje’ (Confession). The story is set within the criminal underworld of Serbia and follows Nemanja Savić, a young prosecutor in Sombor. The plot centers on Savić being drawn into an investigation he was not intended to handle, forcing him to navigate a web of shadow figures and internal conflicts as he struggles to maintain his ideals amidst systemic corruption.
