Serbian Family Uncovers Potential $250,000 Pokémon Card Treasure

While cleaning their home in Serbia, a family discovered several sealed boxes of Pokémon merchandise hidden behind a television cabinet. The loot includes 24‑carat gold‑plated Poké Balls once distributed by Burger King, various figures and game accessories, and early‑edition card packs such as Base Set, Jungle and Fossil. Three sealed Fossil First Edition boxes were highlighted as especially valuable, each estimated at $15,000‑$30,000. Collectors estimate the whole collection could be worth up to $250,000, though a professional appraisal has not yet been completed. The find was first shared on Reddit by one of the grandchildren, sparking widespread interest on social media and among Pokémon‑card enthusiasts.

The discovery underscores how sealed collectibles can retain high market value decades after their release, and it has drawn attention from both hobbyists and potential buyers worldwide.
