Mala Cana vows to stay single after Andrija Bajić's death

Serbian singer Andrija Bajić died on 7 July at age 89. His widow, Svetlana Bajić, known as Mala Cana, has spoken in several interviews about their 15‑year marriage, the age gap (she was 33 and he 74 when they met) and her deep grief. She said she will not allow anyone to approach her again, insisting she will remain alone and will not pursue another relationship. Cana also reflected on their decision not to have children, stating she does not regret it but finds stories of child abuse distressing. She described caring for Bajić during his final months and recalled fellow singer Bora Drljača crying when she brought food for him, highlighting the support of colleagues. In an interview she clarified that Bajić never physically abused her, though he sometimes threw objects. A funeral announcement was released, confirming plans for his burial, and she emphasized that she will stay single for the rest of her life.
