Serbian Foreign Minister meets Canadian parliamentary delegation

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić met with a delegation from the Canadian Parliament’s Canada-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group in Belgrade. The delegation was led by MP Nenad Kuruc.

Đurić emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy and institutional cooperation in strengthening political, economic, and social ties between the two nations. He noted that renewing the work of the friendship group is a significant step toward enhancing bilateral relations, particularly following his visit to Ottawa in May.

Discussions also covered regional topics and Serbia’s internal focus on stability, growth, and development. Đurić reiterated an invitation to Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand to visit Serbia to mark the 85th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. To commemorate the jubilee, Đurić presented Kuruc with a commemorative postage stamp.
