Serbian girl and Bosnian woman seek international aid for cancer treatment
Darija, a girl born in 2022 in Serbia, has been fighting a malignant adrenal gland tumor. After surgery, stem‑cell transplant and immunotherapy, doctors advised continued treatment at the MSK Cancer Center in New York. The Humanost bez granica foundation is raising funds for hospital costs, travel and accommodation, asking donors to contribute via SMS or bank transfers.
Faketa Škrijelj, a 55‑year‑old resident of Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, was diagnosed with liver cancer that has affected half of her liver. She has completed several cycles of chemotherapy and now needs immunotherapy costing about 100,959 KM. Her family cannot afford the treatment, and the Udruženje “Pomozi.ba” appeal urges donations through a dedicated helpline (17046) and various bank accounts.
