Serbian Minister marks Serbian Unity Day in Berane

Đorđe Milicević, the Serbian Minister without portfolio in charge of diaspora relations, visited Berane to commemorate Serbian Unity Day. During the event, he emphasized the importance of celebrating major national holidays alongside Serbian communities living outside of Serbia.

Milicević stated that the Serbian tricolor serves as a profound symbol of history, culture, and shared identity. He noted that Serbian unity is defined by a shared language, faith, and historical memory, as well as a mutual responsibility for the future. He expressed that Serbia remains a foundation and support for Serbs regardless of where they reside.

Addressing Serbs in Montenegro, Milicević expressed the desire for them to be successful, respected, and equal citizens in their country of residence while maintaining their national identity with pride.
