The Serbian government has announced several economic measures, including a one-time financial aid of 6,000 dinars for all adult citizens. Eligible individuals—defined as Serbian citizens with permanent residence and a valid ID—must apply electronically via the Treasury Administration portal between September 7 and September 21. However, pensioners and social assistance recipients will receive their payments automatically. Payments are scheduled to be distributed by Poštanska štedionica between September 22 and September 25.

In addition to the one-time aid, the government has outlined further financial support for specific groups to mitigate the energy crisis and rising living costs. This includes payments of 35,000, 27,500, or 20,000 dinars for pensioners based on their August 2026 income levels, and 25,000 dinars for recipients of child or combatant benefits.

Furthermore, the Serbian government has approved a minimum wage increase for 2027, setting the net minimum hourly rate at 405 dinars, which will result in a monthly minimum salary of approximately 70,470 dinars. The government also launched a 70 million dinar program to support business startups for citizens returning from abroad.
