Serbian music school and youth theater program showcase artistic awards and educational shows

The Petar Krančević Music School in Sremska Mitrovica reported an impressive haul of 43 prizes in April 2026, comprising 27 first‑place, 12 second‑place, 4 third‑place awards and three laureate recognitions. The achievements came from a range of domestic and international competitions, including the ULJUS XIII International Piano Competition, the Vojvodina Guitar Festival, the Oskar Štrok competition in Latvia and several festivals in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

Meanwhile, the Belgrade Youth Center, together with Studio Center, concluded a season of the “Theatre for Teenagers” program in May 2026. Over the 2025‑2026 run, nearly 5,000 primary and secondary students, as well as teachers and parents, attended 18 educational productions addressing issues such as peer bullying, drug addiction and contemporary teen life. Highlights included “This Is Not a Fairy Tale” (May 11‑14), “Margaret” (May 18‑20) and “Do You Have a Gram?” (May 21). Performances were staged at the Amerikana hall with tickets priced at 800 dinars, and the program extended to venues in Sombor and Mramor.
