Serbian education ministry hosts student concert at Belgrade's National Museum

More than 70 pupils from ten music schools across Serbia performed traditional and historic Serbian repertoire at the National Museum in Belgrade. The concert, titled “Zvuci Srbije,” featured classical, jazz, church and folk pieces played on piano, violin, wind, string and harp instruments, as well as vocal and choral works.

Education Minister Dejan Vuk Stanković opened the event, noting that students have participated in 20 ministry‑sponsored concerts this school year, showcasing the breadth of Serbia’s music education system. He pledged continued support for the concert series in the coming year. Museum director Bojana Borić Brešković highlighted the initiative as a culmination of a year‑long cultural programme aimed at preserving national identity through music. Justice Minister Nenad Vujić and other officials were also present.

The concert underscored the ministry’s goal of expanding musical culture nationwide and demonstrated the talent of young Serbian musicians.
