Serbian opposition presses for clear policies on Kosovo, sanctions and NATO
Senior SNS lawmaker Milenko Jovanov urged Serbia’s opposition parties to publicly state their positions on three key issues – recognition of Kosovo’s independence, imposing sanctions on Russia and joining NATO – warning that vague stances undermine voter choice. He also highlighted the importance of improving relations with the United States.
SRCE secretary‑general Stefan Janjić condemned recent changes to the judiciary, calling them a superficial attempt by the Vučić regime to portray a defeat as a victory after the Venice Commission’s assessment, and warned that core mechanisms of judicial control remain intact.
Minister Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski criticised certain right‑wing groups for lacking genuine conservatism, accusing them of aligning with parties that label Serbs as a “genocidal nation” and of inconsistently supporting NATO accession.
