Various communities across the Balkans are observing religious and local traditions. The Serbian Orthodox Church is celebrating the feast of Saints Flor and Lavr, twin stonecutters and martyrs from the 2nd century. According to tradition, they were martyred for their Christian faith after healing a priest's son and consecrating a temple. They are widely venerated as protectors of livestock, particularly horses.

In Lipljan, the feast was marked by liturgy and processions at the Church of Saints Flor and Lavr. Local clergy noted the importance of the gathering for the community, despite a significant decrease in the local Orthodox population.

In Croatia, the municipality of Vir celebrated its village day and the feast of St. John the Baptist with a formal session attended by President Zoran Milanović. Meanwhile, in Pecki, residents marked their village day with ceremonies to honor fallen defenders of the Homeland War, while also discussing local infrastructure needs such as water supply and transportation.
