On Monday, 27 July 2026, the Serbian National Assembly will convene an extraordinary session at 10:00 to consider a no‑confidence motion against Prime Minister Đuro Macut’s government. The meeting was called after 109 MPs from the parliamentary group “Aleksandar Vučić – Serbia must not stand still” demanded it; earlier attempts failed because a quorum was not met.

The motion was originally submitted by 62 opposition deputies on 13 February 2026, alleging involvement of government members in the General Staff property case and misconduct by Culture Minister Nikola Selaković. The ruling coalition seeks to avoid a vote that could force the cabinet either to form a new government within 30 days or trigger dissolution of parliament and national elections within 60 days.

Speaker Ana Brnabić announced the session, saying it will test parliamentary confidence in the government.
