Serbian Pension Fund Prepares One-Time Aid for Vračar Seniors on Sept 14

The Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance held its 45th tribune in Belgrade’s Vračar district, gathering over 200 pensioners. Director Relja Ognjenović announced that the fund is ready to disburse a one‑time state aid payment to pensioners on 14 September, after first paying regular pensions for all categories.

The fund aims to reach 25,000 senior‑citizen consultations; the average pension in Vračar is about 87,000 dinars, higher than the national average. Pensioners’ union president Andreja Savić noted roughly 15,000 pensioners live in Vračar, and mayor Milan Nedeljković said they constitute about a quarter of the municipality’s 67,000 residents. The tribune also discussed future measures such as drug‑price reductions.
