Serbian police guard Kosovo businessmen Zvonko Veselinoviq, Milan Radoic
Serbian elite police units are providing personal protection to Zvonko Veselinoviq, a controversial Kosovo businessman, and Milan Radoic, accused of organizing the September 2023 Banjska attack. According to the Serbian outlet N1, Veselinoviq is shielded by Negjelko Golje, an active member of the Special Antiterrorist Unit (SAJ) who formerly served as a sniper for the unit. The same report states that both Veselinoviq and Radoic are being guarded by other SAJ officers.
Both men appear on the United States sanctions list for alleged involvement in organized crime and corruption. Their protection comes amid criticism of Serbian authorities following a recent killing in Belgrade's Senjak district and the arrest of a former police chief. Serbian interior ministry officials have not commented publicly on the allegations.
