Serbian police seize over €1.5 million in drugs in Dobanovci and confiscate 20 tons of undocumented soy sauce

Police in Serbia seized 45 kg of cocaine and cannabis in Dobanovci, valued at more than €1.5 million. Three suspects were arrested after a coordinated operation, and authorities noted that Serbia has confiscated a total of 7.5 tons of drugs in the first half of the year, with Balkan criminal groups expanding routes through Africa and European ports. Retired colonel Miloje Ćirović said, "This is a very significant seizure, worth about €2.5 million, and the goal is to uncover the wider network behind the trade."

In a separate incident, officers stopped a truck on the Klenje‑Salaš Crnobarski road and found about 20 tons of packaged soy sauce without any accompanying documentation. The driver, identified as P. S., 35, from Raška, was detained, and the cargo and vehicle were temporarily seized. A criminal complaint has been filed and the case will be forwarded to the public prosecutor in Šabac.
