Serbian political rallies surge across the country in June 2026

On June 13, 2026, a large political gathering was held under a tent in Bunuševac, Vranje district. Professor Miroslav Jocić, head of the Bujanovac committee of the Serbian People's Movement, described the event as a display of power disconnected from citizens’ everyday struggles, criticizing the lavishness amid local economic hardships.

Simultaneously, student groups continue a 19‑month protest movement, announcing a major assembly in Kraljevo for Vidovdan on June 28, 2026. The call follows a planned Serbian Progressive Party rally in Belgrade on June 27 and a scheduled protest in Novi Sad on June 20. Organisers stress that the demonstrations will persist until their demands are met and elections are called.
