Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić discusses legacy ahead of departure
President Aleksandar Vučić told TV Prva that he feels partly satisfied with the work done during his tenure, citing the construction of highways and railways, the opening of new factories, the development of science‑technology parks, wage and pension growth, a stable dinar and low public debt. He also said many tasks remain unfinished, especially showing enough care for ordinary citizens, and stressed that the final judgment of his policies will come from future generations.
During the same interview Vučić revealed he supports Serbia’s national football team for the 2026 World Cup and criticised the recent basketball seasons of Red Star and Partizan, calling both clubs’ campaigns disappointing.
