During a three‑day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Bosnian Defence Minister Zukan Helez exchanged sharp accusations over the security arrangements for Vučić’s stop in Bugojno. Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and other RS officials defended Helez, labeling him an extremist who exploits anti‑Serb sentiment, while RS politicians such as Staša Košarac and Gashić condemned Helez’s rhetoric as a political stunt. The dispute unfolded alongside Vučić’s meetings in Mrkonjić Grad and other locations, highlighting ongoing tensions between Belgrade and Sarajevo over security, historical memory and regional politics.
